Spring 2012 Semester

ALRI holds its Spring 2012 Course Preview on Saturday, February 4th at Founders Hall on GMU's Arlington campus.  The doors will be open from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm with the program running from 9:30 am to noon.  There is ample parking in the Founders Hall garage (entrance on N. Kirkwood Rd.) for the reduced rate of $4 for this event.  Other transportation options include metered street parking, the VA Square Metro and nearby ART and Metrobus routes.  Course registration for the Spring 2012 semester will begin on Monday, February 6th at 10:00 am. We encourage our members to register for their courses on-line at that time but members may instead mail in paper registrations, available on our website or from the catalog.

New Parking Option for classes at GMU

ALRI holds many of its classes in the new Founders Hall building on GMU's Arlington campus.  The facility is receiving rave reviews from ALRI members.  Metered parking is available on the streets surrounding the campus but now the Founders Hall garage is open to the public.  The entrance to the Founders Hall garage is on N. Kirkwood Road between Washington Boulevard and Fairfax Drive and the rate is $3 per hour.  Parking in the Foundation Building and Truland Building garages is by permit only and is subject to ticketing by state police.

Special Events

New items are added to the ALRI Special Events calendar frequently.  Please keep abreast by checking the website. ALRI members are sent monthly updates via email and current events are listed in our newsletter. On-line registration for ALRI Special Events is easy, requiring just the member’s first and last name.  Our free events held at Arlington Central Library require no registration and are a great way for non-members to get to know ALRI.
