Course Registration

The catalog for the Fall 2010 semester is now available on-line and has been mailed to all ALRI members.  Our Fall 2010 semester will begin on October 4 and run through December 17.

Course registration for the Fall 2010 semester will begin on Monday, September 13.  We encourage our members to register for their courses on-line -- the registration fields are unlocked at 10:00 am on the first day of registration.  Members may instead mail in paper registrations as soon as the Fall catalog is on-line using the form available on our website or from their catalog but all paper registrations received prior to September 13 will be processed in random order beginning at 10:00 am on the first day of registration.  Registrations received thereafter will be processed in the order received.

Fall Course Preview

The Fall Course Preview is scheduled for Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the NRECA building, 4301 Wilson Boulevard in Arlington.  The Preview will run from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  Light refreshments will be served.

Take advantage of the chance to hear our instructors talk about their course offerings.  Bring friends, relatives and neighbors who meet ALRI's basic age requirement and who have an interest in joining.  Our preview offers an opportunity not only to sample upcoming courses, but also to chat with instructors and other ALRI members and to learn more about clubs, special events and volunteer opportunities.

ALRI Summer Office Hours

Beginning June 15, 2010 the ALRI office at the Clarendon Education Center (CEC) will be operating on reduced summer hours.  The office will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays only, from 10am to 2pm.  ALRI will resume its normal office hours beginning on Tuesday, September 7, 2010.

You may reach ALRI staff and office volunteers by phone at 703-228-2144 or by email at ALRI@ArlingtonLRI.org.

Special Events

New items are added to the ALRI Special Events calendar frequently.  Please keep abreast by checking the website. ALRI members are sent monthly updates via email and quarterly updates in our newsletter. On-line registration for ALRI Special Events is easy, requiring just the member’s first and last name.  Our free lectures at Arlington Central Library require no registration and are a great way for non-members to get to know ALRI.
